STS-AIChE PROCESS ENGINEERING/PLANT OPERATIONS (PE/PO) WORKSHOPS

The PE/PO Workshop Group of STS-AIChE holds a workshop prior to the monthly STS-AIChE dinner meeting.

The objective of the Process Engineering/Plant Operations Workshop Group is to obtain a more complete understanding of unit operations, processes, primary control elements and systems common to most processes on the Texas Gulf Coast. The Chemical, Petrochemical, Polymer and Petroleum Industries are broadly covered in our workshops. The primary emphasis is on commercially proven equipment, systems, and processes, rather than a more academic approach. Equipment manufacturers and process developers provide targeted fundamentals affecting their subject matter. Academics or professionals are called upon when appropriate. Our mission is to provide the group with knowledge that can be applied in the workplace, whether operations or process engineering.
